The ARM logo is centered over a light blue checkmark in a thick white box with the words "2024 UEC Elections" in white underneath the checked box.

It is time for you to vote for your new representatives on the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) user facility’s User Executive Committee (UEC).

The UEC is the official voice of the user community in its interactions with ARM management.

This year’s ballot features 22 candidates, who represent a range of science disciplines served by ARM. Learn about the candidates by reading their bios.

New members will be chosen through a vote by ARM users, and their terms will begin Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Six members will roll off the UEC at that time, so the new representatives will join eight returning members. Representatives of ARM science themes serve four-year terms.

In addition, the UEC can include an early career representative, who may be associated with any of ARM’s science themes. This representative, who will serve a two-year term, must be currently pursuing a PhD or be an early career scientist within five years of obtaining a PhD as of Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

If this person is also elected to lead the representation of one of the science themes, they will serve up to four years, and a separate dedicated early career representative may not be selected in this two-year cycle.

The elections are the second in a two-part process to select new committee members. Nominations took place in August and September 2024.

The virtual ballot box will remain open until Friday, November 8, 2024. Please vote for one candidate under each science theme or position. You may only submit one ballot.

Please cast your ballot today.
