ARM.gov Linking Protocols

The ARM.gov website provides links information created and maintained by third-parties. ARM provides these links as a service to our users. When users follow a link to a third-party website outside of the ARM.gov domain, they become subject to the privacy and security policies of the owners/sponsors of the outside website(s). ARM.gov chooses links consistent with sound public policy and that support the ARM mission. Any links on ARM.gov that refer the user to a third-party website must:

• provide valuable information and resources related to the ARM.gov site subject matter
• be well maintained and have a clearly identified maintainer
• be presented in a fair and accurate manner
• promote the desired skills and knowledge to gain a variety of experiences and to acquire a basic understanding of the subject matter.

ARM cannot assume any responsibility for the content, operation, or policies of other websites. The inclusion of links to third-party websites is not intended to assign importance to those websites or to the information they contain.

• ARM does not endorse the organizations sponsoring linked websites, nor the views they express or the products/services they offer.
• ARM does not control or guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness, or completeness of information contained on a third-party website.
• ARM cannot authorize the use of copyrighted materials contained in third-party linked websites. Users must request such authorization from the sponsor of the linked website.
• ARM is not responsible for transmissions users receive from linked websites.
• ARM does not guarantee that outside websites comply with Section 508 (Accessibility Requirements) of the Rehabilitation Act.

ARM does not offer a link exchange program, or link to other websites unless those sites are being directly referenced as a resource for a specific content area on the ARM.gov site.

ARM.gov will not link to:

• websites which exhibit hate, bias, or discrimination or promotes one political party over another
• websites which are a list of an individual’s own bookmarks in the topic area
• websites which are primarily commercial in nature (i.e., advertising a product, charging a usage fee, soliciting user information, etc.)
• websites which contain adult themes or sexually explicit text, images, or photographs
• websites which are an advertisement for liquor, tobacco, or pornographic products.

Furthermore, ARM reserves the right to deny or remove any link that contains misleading information or unsubstantiated claims, or is determined to be in conflict with ARM’s mission or policies.

To meet this commitment, this site is built to comply with the requirements of Section 508.
