LANDCLOUD
CLASIC - Land-Cloud Coupled Data Assimilation System
1 June 2007 - 30 June 2007
Lead Scientist: Thomas Jackson
Observatory: SGP
A ground based atmospheric microwave radiometer system was operated continuously during the CLASIC field campaign at Chickasha, Oklahoma to validate and improve the land-cloud microphysics coupled data assimilation system. This research provided improved methods for monitoring and assessment of land and atmospheric variables that can alter climate, water resources and agriculture, as well as contributed to understanding the interactive physical, chemical and biological processes that regulate the total Earth system.Related Publications
