RWP-Based Virtual Temperature Profile
Baseline VAP
This value-added product (VAP) merges virtual temperature profiles measured by the 915-MHz and the 50-MHz radar wind profiler/RASS (RWP) instruments at the Southern Great Plains Central Facility into a combined profile. They are the consensus averaged profiles garnered from the moments data, not the moments data themselves. After the profiles are merged into one, the resulting product is quality controlled by examining each point with respect to its neighbors, both spatially and with respect to time. These combined, quality-controlled profiles are the sole product of this VAP.
