CO
Carbon Monoxide Mixing Ratio System
Baseline Instrument
The carbon monoxide (CO) system, deployed at the Southern Great Plains observatory, measures the atmospheric concentration of CO mixing ratio (parts per billion by volume dry air) at 10-minute intervals 60 meters above ground level. Measurements are based on the principle that CO absorbs infrared radiation at a wavelength of 4.6 micrometers (µm).
